Numinosity Affiliates Now Accepting CHP
Numinosity is pleased to announce the following Affiliates as newly credentialed with the CHP/Complementary Health Program:

Marsha Hansen, LMT – Massage Therapy
Toshio Omura, LAc – Licensed Acupuncture
Christy Yogerst, DC – Chiropractic Care

They join our seasoned CHP providers:

Gina James, LMT – Massage Therapy
Lyn Hughey, LMT – Massage Therapy
Suzana Levy, DC – Chiropractic Care

All of our providers are happy to navigate the credentialing system to make sure that Numinosity can provide quality alternative care quickly and effectively for all of our CHP clients. (And we are always working on relationships with other insurance companies to offer the maximum benefits available to all of our clients).

Why We Love Complementary Healthcare Program
We love the CHP (Complementary Healthcare Program) plan almost as much as our clients do. It offers easy access to alternative medical care, helping our clients to maximize health and healing, manage stress, and clear the body of some of the things that contribute to chronic illness or disease.

What Is CHP?
If you aren’t familiar with it, CHP is a wonderful (and fairly inexpensive!) addition to standard group insurance plans (such as Kaiser, Blue Cross, etc), providing coverage for alternative healthcare such as Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy. This benefit plan allows individuals to self-refer to credentialed alternative care providers, adding another tool with which to take charge of self, health and well-being.

How Much Does A CHP Visit Cost?
Though co-pay amounts vary for Chiropractic and Acupuncture care (usually between $5 and $25 per visit, depending on the benefit details of each CHP group plan), the standard Massage Therapy benefit consists of twelve 60-minute massages per year at the cost of only $25 per massage for CHP members. Your insurance Member Services representative can tell you more about your CHP benefit plan details, or call us with your member number and date of birth and we’ll be glad to check for you.

(By the way, the 12-per-year allowance is based on a calendar year from January to December, so if you haven’t been using your CHP benefits, you have another six months to use up your 12 visits… Feeling stressed? Come in every other week through the end of the year and be back in balance long before the holidays!).
